The IWCO Network

Uppsala International Week is a part of the international network IWCO, consisting of approximately 30 business schools around the world. Each member of the network organizes an international week at their business school where 20-25 students from other schools in the network participate. Being a member of the IWCO network therefore includes the possibility to send students to other international weeks. 

During the week, the host university arrange numerous of activities to get acquainted with the city, the local culture, the local business life, the university and the other students.

With help from corporate partners and foundations, the international weeks are completely free for the attending students. The only thing the international students need to pay is the flight tickets. The host university is responsible for arranging accommodation, meals and activities.

The International Week in Uppsala

UIW is organized by Uppsala EBA Student Association (Uppsalaekonomerna) at Uppsala University.

The week was filled with opportunities to become acquainted with the Swedish business environment, culture and social life and took place on May 2nd - May 8th 2010.

The activities included for instance:

·         A company visit to Oriflame Cosmetics in Stockholm

·         Sightseeing in Uppsala

·         International dinner and a traditional banquette in one of Uppsala's oldest Student Nations
